U16 Teams Teams for Saturday Jan 12th/19th vs East Torrens

We have had some late changes to the squads due to (positive) unforeseen circumstances. The Adelaide Strikers losing means that Gary Putland is a last minute inclusion to our A grade, which throws out our selections from last night. Please see below for the updated team listings and locations.

Teams for Saturday Jan 12th and 19th vs East Torrens

Reds vs ET at O'Sullies Beach no 1 (be at ground 12:30pm & bring afternoon tea)

Layton, Zrim, Bruce, Cornelius* (wk), Murphy, Tierney, Steele, Schutt, Hynes, Grzyb, Thurtell (slash player), Hamilton (wk 1 only).

Whites at Charles Campbell College 1 (be at ground by 12:45pm)

Dodd, Narayanan, Trembath, Loots, Greenshields, Willoughby*, Lock, Northill (slash/wk 1 only), Carr (wk), Samarcq, Beckett (wk 1 only), Smith (wk 2 only)

Congrats to Tom Hynes who took 4 wickets in the B grade last week, he returns to U16's only due to the fact that Gary Putland & SA U19 opening bowler Shaun Williams both return to our A grade side pushing players down through the grades.

Rory Hanson remains in the C grade for another game on the back of some outstanding performances prior to Christmas. Mitch Farquhar lines up as a slash player for the D grade. Andrew Steele has been promoted to the 16 Reds after a match winning 90 against Adelaide last round. Connor Lock gets another look at U16 whites cricket, great preparation for the upcoming U14 carnival.

Slash players are only used when senior cricketers return from State duties. At this stage Mitch Farquhar will play U16 Reds second week, Quinn Thurtell will drop into the U16 Whites second week for William Northill/Daniel Beckett who are unavailable. Darcy Smith will also play week 2 in the Whites. Michael Jordan has not been selected due to injury.

Thank-you to those players who have been able to communicate their availability as early as possible, it makes selection much easier for us. Obviously injuries and other unavoidable things pop up and we understand that, but when possible, we ask that players let us know at least two weeks in advance when unavailable.

We look forward to plenty of good performances in the coming weeks, with many U16's involved in the U17 BankSA carnival, and Ben, Tom, Quinn and Connor all looking to play key roles for the U14 side in their upcoming carnival also.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow
